Just a quick post today. After a lot of work the Crafty Bums website is finally live with lots of lovely items from a variety of crafters available to purchase.

I have also set up my Funky Elephant shop and will gradually linking up pics from the website and FB page so you can purchase them directly.

crafty bums

My new side projects for 2012

I have decided this year I am going to learn some new crafts. I have done some small patchworks before but have never attempted a whole quilt. So I'm jumping in with both feet and doing 2!

The first is the Block of the Month run by Craftsy.com. A free online course with a new block released every month using a different quilting technique. Some I have tried and some are completely new so looking forward to getting started. I'm running a bit behind and as February is not far away will have a bit to catch up on.

The second is a quilt along I am co-designing with Jodi from Cuddlebums. We are hoping to start when the Crafty Bums website launches (hopefully very soon). The first block has just been done but can only show a sneak peek for now....

As soon as I have some finished blocks to show I shall post my progress here.

I am also determined to master crochet but that will have to wait for now!

My other venture :) Coming Soon

Not only do I soley run Funky Elephant I also co-run another craft based business called Crafty Bums with my good friends Emma Chapman aka The Crafty Mouse and Jodi Rooke aka Cuddlebums. We all met via a craft group on a site called Babycentre and after a while of dabbling and procrastinating the Crafty Bums facebook page was created early in 2011.

Over the past year we have built up our fanbase of likers looking for handcrafted items and direct them to our network of talented crafty bums. Over the past 6 months we have been working busily behind the scenes creating a new website where crafters can showcase and sell their work and we are due to launch VERY soon, It's very exciting! I shall let you know as soon as the site launches so you can all have a nosy at all the lovely goodies for sale.
